Savant Capital Management hires Daryl Dagit to launch new office and advise clients
Rockford, IL (June 28, 2010) – Savant Capital Management, a nationally recognized fee-only wealth management firm headquartered in Rockford, announced today it is expanding into the Peoria area with a new office and hiring a new financial advisor. The new office, located at 7535 N Knoxville Ave, Suite C in Peoria, will be headed up by Daryl Dagit, the newly-hired financial advisor, and Jim Foley, Savant’s Director of Advisory and Business Development.
Savant is a Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) firm that assists clients in several areas of wealth management: retirement planning, investing, estate planning and more. The firm has seen enormous growth in the wealth management industry, even in the face of a bear market. Savant has hired seven new team members in the past year to assist with a growing client base, and they recently added a trust division and nonprofit foundation services. Savant has additional offices in Chicago, Geneva, Freeport, Hoffman Estates and Madison.
“Savant has been examining the opportunity to service wealth management clients in the Peoria area for quite some time,” said Managing Partner Brent Brodeski. “We are thrilled to open an office there with two extremely qualified and experienced individuals, who can help clients plan their financial futures.”
Dagit, who has nearly 25 years of experience in the finance industry, will work one-on-one with the Peoria-area clients. He joined Savant after serving 17 years at Citigroup, most recently as District Manager. Dagit has received company awards and recognitions for superior performance in the industry, and has supervised a $130 million portfolio, nine managers throughout Illinois and 34 employees.
Dagit is also very active in the community, and has served on finance committees for St. John’s Lutheran Church in Pekin and Illinois State University. He also served as a Marquette Heights City Council member in 1995, and was elected to the Pekin City Council in 2004.
“I look forward to taking the next step in my financial career at Savant,” said Dagit. “Savant’s philosophy of putting clients first and developing a comprehensive financial plan that can bring peace of mind is one I am happy to bring to clients in the Peoria area.”
