Savant Celebrates Financial Awareness Month
Money Smart Week Events Scheduled

Rockford, IL (April 1, 2013) - April is National Financial Awareness Month and Savant Capital Management, a fee-only wealth management firm, is continuing its efforts to help educate the community about healthy financial habits and basics of investment and financial planning. Savant is offering a series of free educational seminars open to the public starting in April. Topics covered include navigating the financial aid process, planning for retirement, building an ideal portfolio and information on Medicare.
Savant is also participating in its third year of Money Smart Week - a seven day series of events taking place April 20 to 27 in Rockford. Money Smart Week focuses on educating consumers about money management and generates awareness of financial educational programs on topics such as estate planning, basic bank services, retirement planning, personal finance and budgeting and saving and planning for college. Savant will host a series of classes during Money Smart Week. Topics covered include:
- Fiscal Cliff Averted: How Recent Tax Changes Affect You
- Retirement Income Planning: Protecting Your Nest Egg and Making it Last
- Estate Planning: Blueprint to Controlling the Distribution of Your Assets
"We understand individuals have to make many financial decisions on a monthly or even daily basis and it can be overwhelming," said Brent Brodeski, CEO and Principal of Savant.
