Savant's Investment Method Pursues Higher Returns

Firm presents a scientific framework to enhance the art of investing in its third edition white paper

June 15, 2016

Savant Capital Management, a nationally-recognized fee-only wealth management firm with 12 offices in three states, provides an analysis of investing success through the methods and conclusions of Evidence-Based Investing (EBI) in the recently released third edition white paper, “A Scientific Framework for the Art of Investing.”

The white paper demonstrates the benefits of a scientific approach for the individual investor. It also exposes the many shortcomings of the conventional approach and provides a path which we believe increases the likelihood of investing success. The goal of EBI is to maximize after-tax returns for the individual investor, while minimizing risk and protecting portfolios from market downturns. The EBI method explores ways to answer investment questions in a systematic, analytical and scientific manner in a four-step process.

First, questions are developed. Then, related evidence is located, researched, interpreted and compared. The third step is the ongoing application of evidence within the investor’s relationship with his or her investment advisor. The final step monitors for effectiveness and eliminates needless risk.

“Savant believes the broadly diversified global index portfolio, when using the EBI principles, is a better investment solution,” said Brent Brodeski, CEO of Savant. “Our EBI investment philosophy is designed to engineer broad, globally diversified portfolios in pursuit of higher returns and minimized risks. It pays to defy conventional wisdom and follow the evidence.”

Savant’s four-step approach to best capture market gains while avoiding the failure of the conventional approach is outlined in the white paper. Click here to download a complimentary copy of the white paper. To learn more about Savant’s investment management and its approach as a fiduciary, visit
