Savant Advisor Earns Master of Science Degree in Financial Services

Rockford, IL (February 20, 2012) – Savant Capital Management, a nationally recognized fee-only wealth management firm, is pleased to announce that financial advisor Tracy S. Beard has earned the Master of Science in Financial Services (MSFS) degree from the American College in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania.
The MSFS degree program provides a diverse financial education that prepares graduates to advise their clients on a wide spectrum of financial needs. MSFS course topics include advanced pension and estate planning, financial planning, executive compensation, business and personal tax planning, security analysis and portfolio management, and financial statement analysis. Candidates for the MSFS degree must successfully complete 36 credits of individual and residency study and pass 12 rigorous examinations. The American College’s Richard D. Irwin Graduate School has awarded the MSFS degree to over 2,600 individuals since 1977.
As a financial advisor, Tracy is responsible for managing all aspects of the financial planning and investment processes for Savant’s clients. Tracy routinely meets with clients, advisors, portfolio managers, and planners to determine and coordinate effective planning, investment, and tax strategies. Tracy earned a Bachelor of Science degree in economics/finance from Rockford College. He is a Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®), an Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®), and is currently pursuing a Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy® (CAP®) designation. Tracy joined Team Savant in July 2001.
