Jake is a financial advisor in Savant’s Rockford, IL office, is a member of the Advisory Team, and has a membership interest in Savant. He is a member of the Advisory Council, an internal panel that provides input on ways to improve the client experience. Jake is responsible for managing all aspects of the financial planning and investment process for Savant’s clients. He routinely meets with clients, advisors, portfolio managers, and planners to determine and coordinate effective planning, investment, and tax strategies.

Jake has been involved in the financial services industry since 2007. He is a summa cum laude graduate of Northern Illinois University with a bachelor of science degree in finance and a minor in history. Jake is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional, a Chartered Financial Consultant® (ChFC®), an Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®), a Chartered Retirement Planning CounselorSM (CRPC®), and a Chartered Retirement Plan SpecialistSM (CRPS®).

Jake serves on the board of directors for Severson Dells Nature Center and the Illinois Area YMCA, an endowment fund that benefits local YMCA staff and volunteers in Illinois and Indiana, and he is an active member of the Northern Illinois Planned Giving Council. In 2016 he was recognized by the Rockford Chamber of Commerce as one of 40 Leaders Under Forty. In 2019, for the third year in a row, he was named on Forbes' list of America's Top Next Generation Wealth Advisors.

Jake and his wife Mackenzie are proud parents of their son, Truman, and continually honor the memory of their son, Theodore. Jake is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys hiking and camping in our national and state parks. He has a passion for music, both singing and playing, and currently plays piano and guitar, and has played alto saxophone in the past. Each November, he volunteers with the Rockford Choral Union to sing Handel’s “Messiah.”

Jake joined Team Savant in December 2008.
