Libby is a financial advisor in Savant’s Rockford, IL office and a member of the Advisory Team. She is a co-founder and member of the Women's Wealth Initiative committee, an internal panel that helps guide corporate efforts to empower, inform, and inspire women about financial issues. She previously co-founded the impetus behind Savant's Women's Wealth Initiative, Savvy Women, a group created to educate and empower women to establish and maintain their financial independence. Libby is responsible for managing all aspects of the financial planning and investment process for Savant’s clients. She routinely meets with clients, advisors, portfolio managers, and planners to determine and coordinate effective planning, investment and tax strategies.
Libby has been involved in the financial services industry since 2003. Prior to becoming a financial advisor, she worked for Savant as a client services representative. Previous to that she was a member of the Retirement Plan Services Team working with qualified plans. Prior to joining Savant, Libby was a customer service manager for a local bank. Her responsibilities included audits, compliance, and daily operations. She also focused on customer service excellence, problem resolution, and new client acquisition.
Libby earned a bachelor of arts degree in economics with a focus on finance from Rockford University. She is a a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional, a Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC®), and a Behavioral Financial Advisor™ (BFA™). Curriculum for the BFA™ designation integrates the human element of financial planning with the technical expertise of managing investments. This behavioral component includes understanding the psychology of money and how predisposed biases can impact human decision making. Libby integrates this understanding to better serve her clients as a financial coach throughout the investment management process.
Libby actively participates in the Rockford community by volunteering with various non-profits, serving on committees, supporting local events, and helping in her children's classrooms whenever possible. She is a member of the Rosecrance Foundation Board and the OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center Community Advisory Board and has been on the planning committee for the Rockford Symphony Orchestra's Golden Ball. Other past service includes a board member for Rockford MELD and a mentor for first generation college-bound high school seniors through RAISE. Libby is a graduate of the Leadership Rockford program through the Rockford Chamber of Commerce. She has taught classes as a part of Money Smart Week and at Rock Valley College's Center for Learning in Retirement to improve financial literacy in our community.
Libby and her three children live in Rockford where she was born and raised. She loves to read, travel whenever possible, spend time with friends and family, and lead a healthy and active lifestyle.
Libby joined Team Savant in September 2008.
